Peyz's 6 Pentakills Still Can't Cover T1's Weaknesses

However, this victory only partially hides a worrying reality: T1 has become overly dependent on Peyz. Peyz is one of the most outstanding young ADCs, with near-perfect ability to close out teamfights. He often keeps T1's hopes alive in difficult situations. But this very dependency is a double-edged sword. Tactical analysis shows T1 currently operates a funnel strategy: top laner Doran uses non-resource-demanding champions while the entire system revolves around getting Peyz to the late game. This works when Peyz has space to create a gap, but collapses entirely against strong bot lanes like Gumayusi, Ruler, or Smash – players who can contain Peyz from the laning phase. T1's biggest weakness lies in its one-dimensional strategy. When Peyz is locked down, the team has no alternative plan. Faker occasionally deals damage with Yone (as in game 5), but that's not a consistent win condition. Meanwhile, Doran has made multiple mistakes in the top lane, negating Peyz's advantages. The paradox is clear: as Peyz's individual stats rise, T1 fails to win major titles. Internationally, they often struggle. The current tactical equation is nearly impossible to change: without funneling resources to Peyz, T1's damage output collapses.
